Bendigo Region Women's Shed (BRWS) is an organisation where women of all abilities and cultures can participate in activities, learn and share.
Bendigo Region Women’s Shed provides a space where women can learn and share traditional, cultural and non-traditional skills in a happy and supportive environment. A number of regular activities are held – cards, sewing/knitting/crochet, book club and Soul Sistas morning teas. There is also a weekly woodwork session held on Wednesdays at the Marong Men's Shed. Other activities that group members have enjoyed include – monthly luncheons, mosaic workshop, trivia, high tea, pie making, art class, meditation, and a dream catcher workshop. Future plans include woodworking crafts and basic home maintenance skills.
New members are welcome. Membership is $40 annually with a one-off $10 joining fee. Membership entitles you to discounted rates for activities, for example, Soul Sistas Morning Teas and Cards are $2 for members and woodwork $5. The cost of other activities varies depending on what items are needed and whether there is a volunteer or paid facilitator.
Come along for a “chat and a cuppa”, to meet and make new friends, learn new skills, share your knowledge, or just “chill-out” in friendly company.
We are located at the Community Pavilion, 21 Cunneen Street, Long Gully.
