Bendigo Neighbourhood Hub provides a broad range of support services, programs and activities to residents within the City of Greater Bendigo including: educational courses (computer, cooking & English language courses, pre-accredited training - offering both in-person & on-line learning opportunities), workshops (sewing & craft classes, social media), social groups, tax help, room hire, access to seniors club activities (cards, bowling, lunches), community meals, volunteer opportunities and support services (assistance with filling in forms, connecting essential services, applying for work) - these are but a few of the things that happen every day at your local community hub. Most importantly, everyone is welcome, even if it's just for a coffee.

About Us

Bendigo Neighbourhood Hub is a not-for-profit organisation that has been operating within the Bendigo community since 1983.  Our purpose is to build a strong and connected community by nurturing the conditions that promote community and individual resilience and well-being.

Since first opening the doors, BNH has continued to evolve and change with our community – in the beginning we were a meeting place for women, now, we are a vibrant, innovative and dynamic organisation delivering services to many people across an incredibly diverse range of areas (from education, employment services, advocacy, supporting pregnant women to upholding people’s legal rights, supporting our emerging refugee community and helping people to cope with cancer, death, taxes and so much more).

BNH develop, co-ordinate and deliver programs at a grass roots level that address local needs.  We focus on early identification followed by implementing intervention and prevention strategies to eliminate long term risk and promote positive outcomes.

At Bendigo Neighbourhood Hub we focus on creating opportunities for change within our community by:

Supporting diversity and promoting participation

Facilitating community development and capacity building

Supporting Learning opportunities

Addressing local issues and priorities

BNH is owned by the community and governed by a Committee of Management with the support of a coordinator, administration officer and many volunteers.
