We are a small but energetic group passionate about community building through conservation. We strive to find opportunities to connect people with nature and believe this is the first step to environmental awareness and everyday action.
We aim to protect and enhance the local environment in the communities of White Hills, Epsom, Huntly and Bagshot, in a corridor linked by the Bendigo Creek and nestled between the Wellsford State Forest and Greater Bendigo National Park.
We may be small but we are smart, achieving amazing things by collaborating with local government, community groups, natural resource management agencies, business, local kinders and primary schools.
We are passionate about connecting people to nature and creative / open-minded about any activity that can contribute to conservation and build community.
We have been operating since 2007 and are proud of the diverse array of projects/events we have been able to achieve; from propagating wattles to selling Indian Myna traps, from school events to litter removal, from nature play to monitoring nestboxes and so much more in between. We recognise volunteers have different interests, skills, abilities and most importantly, time available. We value the contributions of all group members, friends and volunteers - you do not need to be a registered member to get involved. Follow our Facebook page to keep in touch with our current volunteering opportunities.
We meet at St Clements Anglican Church in Huntly bi-monthly throughout the year.
