The Bendigo Stroke Support Centre is a local hub for stroke survivors and their carers living in the community.
About Us
The Bendigo Stroke Support Centre is run by volunteers and is a local hub for stroke survivors living in the community, where they can receive support and education on real-life needs and services.
Our aim is to bridge the gap from when a stroke survivor leaves clinical care to when they are able to re-engage with their community.
Our Centres are open to all stroke survivors and carers, no matter what stage of the stroke recovery journey.
We also have a strong focus on carers and ensuring those persons vital to an individual’s recovery are also supported.
Our Activities
Our centre provides activities on a rotating monthly schedule, group activities include mindfulness, meditation, cooking, singing and low-impact sports, such as chair-based yoga and walking; all aimed at self-led recovery and empowerment outcomes.
