About Us

What we do

The Bendigo Health Mental Health Service has multiple community based adult services throughout the Loddon Campaspe and Southern Mallee region.

The clinics provide case management on the principle of Collaborative Working Relationships that is provided by the Bendigo Based Community Teams.  The teams discuss all new referrals and assessments at their Clinical Review Meetings with the Psychiatrist immediately preceding the intake to ensure suitability for case management.  All case managed patients are regularly reviewed to ensure the continuum of care is being met.

The team will assign a lead clinician. This lead clinician coordinate services, facilitates implementation of the treatment plan and works with you, your family/carers and others in providing an integrated service response, including; pharmacological treatments, psychological and other therapies like psychosocial rehabilitation strategies. All interventions aim to enable recovery or maximise your functioning and independence.

The teams have a Team Leader, Consultant Psychiatrist and case managers that maybe Registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists or Psychologists.
