About headspace Work & Study
headspace Work & Study Bendigo provides tailored one-to-one support, for young people aged 12-25 who are experiencing mental health challenges to securing employment.
Using the Internationally recognised Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model; our service complements the clinical services to provide integrated support and aims to improve the work and study outcomes for young people.
We help young people identify their strengths, find employment, start their career or further their education. This support creates momentum, strengthens resilience and builds confidence in young people.
Young people will need to be a client of headspace to access this program.

How it works:
A Work & Study Specialist will work alongside you to gain an understanding of your business – how you hire, when you hire, the types of roles you have, and what you are looking for in new staff. After finding a good match, we then work together to overcome any hurdles and help the young person thrive in their new role.
How are we different to recruitment agencies or other employment services?
We understand that a meaningful job is a major factor in staying mentally well. headspace Work & Study works alongside young people who need assistance in gaining employment or moving into study. We support them to find a job matching their strengths and preferences – then help them settle in

How can I support my young employees?
We know that employers notice when one of their team is going through a tough time. Juggling the demands of life and employment can be challenging for a young person, and this can affect their performance at work. If you’re worried about one of your young employees or have noticed changes in their mood, performance or behaviour, you can assist the young person to contact headspace Bendigo for support.
