Playgroup

The smalltalk program is here to help children and parents learn and thrive.

About Event

smalltalk is a free playgroup with a program that’s been designed to help parents be their best selves while raising happy, healthy children. It’s a set of evidence-based strategies that can be used to provide an environment for kids to thrive in.

It is delivered by a qualified facilitator in a supported playgroup setting that runs for two hours, with a free morning tea included. It’s also offered to individual families in their home.

The program aims to increase:

  • The quality and frequency of parents’ interactions with their children.
  • The level of stimulation in the home environment.
  • Parental self-care
  • Parenting confidence.
  • Parents’ connection to their community and local services.

smalltalk supported playgroup runs during school terms in Heathcote, Kangaroo Flat, Eaglehawk North, Huntly and California Gully.
