Bendigo Library is hosting a free author talk from Hana Assafiri. Hana is a much-loved Melbourne personality, founder of Moroccan Soup Bar and a social activist. Her book is moving and inspirational memoir that confronts issues around family violence, food and women’s equality. 

There will be the opportunity to purchase Hana’s book and have it signed.

The Future is in Our Hands Art Exhibition
The Future is in Our Hands is a community-driven art exhibition supporting the 16 Days of Activism at Pennyweight Outdoor Story Gallery, supporting the 16 Days of Activism to raise awareness about gender-based violence. It features quotes from male community leaders reflecting on respect and the role men play in eliminating gender-based violence. View the hand paste up from our young people voicing what respect means
