Family Violence within the Workplace
Join WIRE and the City of Greater Bendigo for an expert panel to discuss Family Violence in the workplace.
The panel will include perspectives from a family violence & employment lawyer, a union representative and a family violence support worker from local organisations. The discussion will cover topics such as family violence leave, employee rights and eligibility, creating supportive systems and processes and general family violence awareness. Interactive conversation and questions will be encouraged!
This event is suitable for anyone who is in the workforce; employees, employers and organisations or any community members who are interested in increasing their knowledge surrounding family violence and family violence leave. All genders and cultures welcomed.
The event will be offered in person Bendigo City Library and will be livestreamed online via zoom.
For those who can attend in person, a light morning tea and refreshments will be provided.

The Future is in Our Hands Art Exhibition
The Future is in Our Hands is a community-driven art exhibition supporting the 16 Days of Activism at Pennyweight Outdoor Story Gallery, supporting the 16 Days of Activism to raise awareness about gender-based violence. It features quotes from male community leaders reflecting on respect and the role men play in eliminating gender-based violence.
