Amnesty Bendigo is a local group campaigning for human rights We are part of a global movement of more than 7 million people in 150 countries.
Amnesty Bendigo is a local group campaigning for human rights - for justice, freedom, human dignity and equality.
Bendigo Amnesty Group meets monthly, and holds regular events in the Bendigo community.
We work with other local human rights groups to advocate for social justice - e.g. for refugees.
We also write letters and sign petitions, advocating with governments around the world.
"Only when the last prisoner of conscience has been freed, when the last torture chamber has been closed, when the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a reality for the world’s people, will our work be done." - Peter Benenson, Amnesty International founder
